The Educational Department seeks to promote significant learning experiences for its diverse public . The team develops strategies, tools, and educational activities that will bring visitors closer to its different exhibitions and the research that supports them.
The main audience of Educational Department includes elementary, middle and high-school students, as well as university students and teachers of all levels. Educational Programs, which include educational tours of the permanent and temporary exhibits, are offered on a daily basis. These are adapted to each groups’ age and objectives.
In an effort to disseminate knowledge on numismatic, archaeological, and artistic heritage, several traveling exhibitions of easy transportation and set-up have been made available for free, to be shipped to different parts of Costa Rica.
Educational suitcases are a learning resource that provide students from remote areas access to content related to indigenous societies in Costa Rica, past and present.
