Pre-Columbian Gold

This exhibit illustrates the meaning, function, and the different parts of the manufacturing process of the gold objects made by the indigenous communities from 300-400 C.E. up until the arrival of the Spaniards in 1502. These pieces showcase the great knowledge they had on metal work and the importance these objects were given within their worldviews, all of which we still value today as part of our cultural heritage.
